Angry Red Planet is Gearing UP!
For the last couple of months, ARP has been working to find
their musical feet again. While the band has most of the same
members as before, the attitude and outlook is very different.
Part of the task has been figuring out what the musical setup
will be.
After flirting with keyboards and various types of techno,
pop and rock styles, Angry Red Planet is settling in to a
straight up rock group. While they will still be utilizing
Jenn's talent on keys and Kurt's skills with the V-Drums,
as well as Dr. E's limitless imagination with cutting-edge
guitar processing, the goal is to make good, original music
that is driving and forceful.
Kurt has added new gear to his kit including the spanky new
Roland V-Cymbals. Dr. E is considering the incredibly cool
Line 6 Vetta modeling amp which will give him an enormous
sonic pallett to choose from. Jennifer has gone on the musician's
ultimate shopping spree, getting a Korg Karma (completely
awesome keyboard), a very slick Spector Holoflash bass guitar
and a Roland keyboard amp which will do double duty as a bass
amp. While all this temporarily satiates the appetites of
our favorite Gear Heads, it really is what allows Angry Red
Planet to do the creative things they do.
ARP has also started buckling down on new material. They've
already put together three new songs and are writing new ones
every day. When they are ready for public consumption, the
band will put them up on the website. Be sure to check the
